Wellness, Movement and the Arts Come Together at Eden Park

This spring, Cincinnati Parks Foundation, Cincinnati Parks and Cincinnati Ballet invite the community to experience an evening where wellness, creativity and the outdoors take center stage.

On Saturday, May 23 at 5:30 p.m., the Cincinnati Ballet Academy Professional Training Division will perform at the historic Seasongood Pavilion in Eden Park as part of a free community celebration presented by the Women’s Committee of Cincinnati Parks in honor of its 20th anniversary.

Set against the natural beauty of one of Cincinnati’s most iconic parks, the evening is designed to encourage movement, connection and exploration while showcasing the power of the arts in public spaces.

But this is more than a performance.

Before the Ballet takes the stage, guests are invited to participate in an immersive wellness experience throughout Eden Park. At 4 p.m., attendees may join an optional guided wellness walk led by Dr. Barbara Walker of the Osher Center for Integrative Health at the University of Cincinnati. Following the performance, guests can continue the experience with a guided walk led by Derek Scacchetti and Urban Rangers at 7 p.m.

Visitors may also explore the self-guided route around Mirror Lake and Tom Jones Commons at their own pace. Along the path, interactive signage with QR codes will demonstrate ballet-inspired movements, inviting participants to stretch, move and engage with the environment before seeing dance brought to life on stage.

The event is part of Cincinnati Parks + Rec for Wellness, an award-winning initiative powered by the Osher Center for Integrative Health at the University of Cincinnati and supported by Cincinnati Parks Foundation in partnership with Cincinnati Parks, Cincinnati Recreation Commission and dozens of community organizations. The initiative connects people to nature, movement and community through free experiences in Cincinnati Parks across the city.

Bringing Cincinnati Ballet into Eden Park reflects the spirit of the program, creating opportunities for people to experience wellness in ways that feel joyful, welcoming and accessible. It also reflects the mission of the Women’s Committee of Cincinnati Parks, whose members have spent the past 20 years helping create meaningful experiences and lasting impact in Cincinnati Parks.

Whether guests come for the performance, the walk, the wellness activities or simply to enjoy a spring evening in the park, the event offers a chance to experience Eden Park in a new and inspiring way.

The event is free and open to the public.
