Protecting Mt. Storm Park is preserving a legacy.
Mt. Storm Park is a historic hillside park overlooking Cincinnati’s Mill Creek Valley, offering sweeping views that reveal how the city grew around its landscape. Once the private estate of Robert Bonner Bowler in the mid-1800s, the hilltop was valued for its fresh air, scenic overlooks, and escape from the industrial basin below. The park’s iconic Temple of Love remains a reminder of this era, blending architecture, landscape, and reflection.
Today, Mt. Storm is a public green space where history, nature, and neighborhood life come together.
Mt. Storm Park Greenspace
The view from Clifton’s Mt. Storm Park, a 59-acre park, overlooks the Mill Creek Valley. The 27 acres of hillside green space adjacent to the park is a link to a larger network of preserved land that protects the character, ecology and beauty of Cincinnati.
As development pressure increases across the city, we have an opportunity to conserve these 27 acres of hillside and protect an unbroken stretch of greenspace in the city. This campaign will provide funds to purchase this land and increase the urban acreage of our city parks.
Support This Campaign
Every gift plants an acorn to protect the Mt. Storm Greenspace and all 5,000 acres of our urban park land. Your support will help conserve the hillside, maintain public access and advance long-term stewardship of this hillside park. Once you see it, you, too, will want to save it. Your donation supports all of our mission work in conserving greenspace, environmental protection and community engagement. Together, we can make sure this hillside remains open, connected and protected.
