Smale Family Fun Days is a vibrant, free summer event series presented by the Cincinnati Parks Foundation in partnership with Cincinnati Parks, designed to bring families together in the heart of Smale Riverfront Park. Featuring a wide range of engaging activities such as live performances, hands-on art, free Carol Ann’s Carousel rides and animal encounters, the program creates a welcoming and joyful environment for children and caregivers alike. Through thoughtful partnerships, the event also provides meaningful resources including free books and bicycle helmets, promoting literacy, safety, and wellness. Smale Family Fun Days reflects the Foundation’s commitment to fostering community connection, accessibility, and memorable outdoor experiences for all.

A low sensory hour at Smale Family Fun Days is a quieter, calmer time designed for children who may feel overwhelmed by noise and crowds. During this period, the Cincinnati Parks Foundation and Cincinnati Parks reduce music, limit announcements, and create a more relaxed environment at Smale Riverfront Park so all families can comfortably enjoy the event.
