#GameonJuly Pits Parks Against Recreation

We have been celebrating the National Recreation and Park Association’s “Parks and Recreation Month” all July. Partnering with Cincinnati Parks for the #GameonJuly theme, we celebrated with giveaways and scavenger hunts for the public. It was great to bring this month-long celebration to a close with a friendly game of kickball between Cincinnati Parks and the Cincinnati Recreation Commission (CRC)!

Parks’ staff joined CRC in Eden Park at the future location of the Tom Jones Commons. Parks staff did a great job and played their hardest. However, the CRC doesn’t have “recreation” in their name for nothing. CRC won ultimately won, 13-3!

Showing outstanding sportsmanship, both teams hugged, shook hands and celebrated at the end of the game. Most were left wondering, could this be the beginning of a new Cincinnati “Parks” and “Recreation” tradition?

Thank you everyone for the fun game and we’ll see you on the field next year!
